Walk-in looking dapper: Suits for guys on casual Fridays
Most of us look forward to a laidback and casual Friday at the office but, it does not really mean trundling out your faithful plain t-shirt and worn jeans. You surely still remember to express yourself through clothing from your teenage days and it does not have to be different this time either.
So forget the retro t-shirts and band merch, let’s see the better ways to liven up your style for your next dress down Friday.
Whether it’s a pair of men’s dress shoes or a colored casual shirt, the outfit you wear tells your peers a lot about your personality. So move away from the same three colors you have been wearing day in and day out. Inject some life in your outfit as you step out of the comfort zone for casual clothing, unlike your regular office clothes.
So, how do you do that?
MIX UP YOUR COLOURS
The ideal way to express yourself through clothing is with colors. In fact, they can sense your mood by your choice of men’s shirts. For this very reason, it is ideal to go with colors other than too dark. Otherwise, you give the sense of being unapproachable.
Remember this: if you are not turning on the light to find it, it shouldn’t be a part of your casual Friday look. Bright shades and hues ooze out an air of liveliness and fun, making you the lovely person to strike up a conversation with at the bar. However, you do not have to go overboard so, leave the luminous yellow for vis-vests.
Always go with your first reaction to an item for making a good choice for patterns in your casual clothing. But, never fear the stripe or the check. If you like it in the first instinct, then buy it. If on the other hand, you find yourself having a conflict to convince and purchase it, then you are better off without it as you probably won’t wear it. Then, leave it on the rack.
Stripes and checks are always a safe bet when you choose something that contains not more than two or three major colors or it makes you look like a kid’s TV presenter or all set to go on a beach vacation. Avoid branded t-shirts if possible as a small logo or patch on the side is fine but, brand names emblazoned across the chest are just free advertising for the label.
Be a little adventurous while choosing your next casual look as there are no rules binding you. The truth is t-shirts, men’s shirts and even pants have come a long way in all these years so we find ourselves spoiled for choice with colors, fabrics, and style. With online suits for men, it is easier to mix and match and come to a decision sooner than ever.
DITCH THE JEANS
Don the denim and you’re just easily being lost in the crowd. While jeans are great, and you should have a few decent pairs in the wardrobe, they definitely are quite uniform in appearance. When you want to break from the norm, go with custom made green or purple chinos to set you apart from the other guys in an office setup. Who said vibrant colors are restricted to the top-half only? Yes, it’s a look that may take some getting used to but, isn’t confidence your last name, eh?
If you really need time and can’t bear the thought of ditching those jeans just yet, then start mixing up the colors a bit. Avoid blacks and blues and introduce light grey or white denim. As casual Fridays set you free from the idea of formal work setup, you might end up getting more done than usual in casual, if you just start wearing out of your comfort zone.
